I am pleased to announce a new collaboration with Carl Scott of Woodfarm Barns & Barges, providing fresh historical insight for their ongoing video series. Since early 2026, their short films on Suffolk folklore and heritage have reached an audience of over 2.5 millions views in the first couple of months of 2026, demonstrating a massive public appetite for local storytelling.
My role in this partnership is to bring academic rigour and deep research to some of these narratives. By combining my background in genealogy and rural history with their reach and creative production, we are able to give a voice to the “real” lives of the past. It is a fantastic opportunity to move history out of the archives and into a format that is clearly resonating with a modern audience, both here in Suffolk and further afield.
